I think the world around us is always speaking and trying to show us things. But we’re too busy and distracted to notice & listen.
Fall is known for turning bright green leaves into colors of vibrant yellows and bold reds. It’s as if they’re inviting us into change alongside them.
And if that wasn’t enough of a sign, winter comes along. And everything, everywhere begins to let go. As the leaves fall from the branches they’ve hung onto for nearly a year, we see an opportunity for new growth. An invitation to let go of the old and make room for the new. But it does require something of us if we want to partake in these seasons alongside nature.
It requires that we slow down; stop. And go inward. And facing ourselves can be one of the scariest things to do. Because what if I don’t recognize myself or worse, what if I don’t like what I see?
Spring is coming. But new blooms can’t be brought forth in your life if you’re still holding onto what fall and winter have begged you to release.
You have time, friend. And you have a choice. What will you choose? Will you begin to practice the art of slowing down and being? Will you make room for the new? Or will you rush through life, keeping your fists clenched around that which it is more than past time to let go of?
The Lord has so much waiting for you. There’s so much abundance and freedom waiting for you to step into and walk in. But you will never experience that if you continue to live every day with the same thoughts around the same habits and the same patterns. He is doing a new thing.
Will you be a part of it?
